Do I need video editing skills to use this?

This is worth saying plainly because most tools that promise easy video are still editors underneath. They hand you a timeline with your clips on it and the work — trimming, ordering, timing the cuts to the music — is still yours; what has been automated is the template, not the editing. If you have ever abandoned one of those halfway through, that is why.

There is no timeline here at all. The input is a photograph and a choice; the output is a finished file. Nitaris reads the product in your photo first and proposes treatments that suit what it actually is, so a gold pendant and a bag of caramel popcorn are not offered the same list — you are picking a direction, not operating software. Everything downstream of that choice, the lighting, the camera move, the set and the grade, follows from it.

The one skill that does transfer is taste, and it is the one worth having. Knowing that your product looks better lit hard than soft, or that the macro of the clasp sells the piece better than the wide shot, is judgement a tool cannot supply. Changing the mood and regenerating is the cheapest way to act on it — that is a different shoot rather than the same shoot re-tinted.

If you do want to edit afterwards, nothing stops you. The film is delivered as a plain MP4 with no audio track, so it drops into any editor as raw material — which is also why adding your own licensed music is a step you take there rather than something to undo here.
