How do I add a product video to a WooCommerce store?

Download the MP4 and upload it to the product the same way you upload an image. There is no Nitaris plugin for WooCommerce — you generate in the browser, download a clean file with no watermark, and add it through your own media library. Nothing is installed on your site.

The longer answer

The honest framing is that this is a three-step flow and the Shopify one is a one-step flow, because the Shopify app is embedded in the admin and can attach files to a product directly. There is no equivalent plugin here. You upload a product photo, pick a mood, and download the finished MP4 and stills; putting them on the product is then a normal media upload that you do.

Why there is no plugin

For a self-hosted store that is usually the trade people would have picked anyway. Running your own WooCommerce install means already managing your own media, and being careful about what gets installed next to it. Nitaris never asks for access to your site, and the exchange is a photo in and files out — which is also why there is nothing to uninstall or to break on a WordPress update.

What you get back

What comes back is a plain MP4 with no watermark on paid files, in vertical 9:16 or widescreen 16:9 (with square and 4:5 cuts of the same film if you ask for them), carrying the film's own sound unless you picked Silent, plus stills in square, portrait or vertical. Whether your particular theme or gallery plugin plays a video inline is a question about your installation rather than about the file, and it is worth checking before you plan a listing around it. If it does not, the film is still what you run on social and in ads, which is where most of its views were going to happen.
