How do I add a video to a Shopify product page?

Shopify product pages accept video in the product's media gallery, alongside the images, and the theme renders it in the same carousel a shopper already swipes. The awkward part has never been the gallery — it is producing a clip worth putting in it, then moving the file from wherever it was made into the listing.
